History: A wine for all seasons, this range has always been made at Château de Gaudou. Through generations of experience, this wine has been able to achieve its full potential while not forgetting the lessons of history.

Vineyards: 48 acres.

Soil: Gravel and clay.

Terroir (land): Second and third terrace.

Grape Varieties:
80% Malbec
10% Merlot
10% Tannat

Yield: 57 hl/ha.

Wine making: Pickup table, modern vinification, cold maceration, according to vintage, maceration for 3 to 4 weeks.

Appearance: Majestic ruby robe, dark and intense with black glints.

Tasting Notes
Nose: The first nose has hints of blackberry and blackcurrant. When swirled, it reveals an exceptional complexity with outstanding notes of Morello cherry and wild strawberry.

Taste: The attack is very supple, developing fine, mellowed tannins in harmony with a pleasing body, generously ushering forth blackberry, blackcurrant, strawberry and raspberry aromas to tickle the palate. The flavours linger in the mouth.

Food Pairings: An elegant wine which will compliment “grilled” meat , poultry, pasta dishes, pizzas or cheese…

Keeps for: 10 years.
Best at: 1 to 6 years.
Drink at: 15 à 17°C.
